CERAMIC WORKSHOP - MADE BY HAND
Spend the time learning ceramics process of creating from a ball of clay. Then dive into handbuilding your very own ceramic piece and decorating.
Hand building is the earliest forming method in ceramics. This technique involves creating forms without the use of a pottery wheel. In this workshop you will create a beautiful piece with just your two hands, a piece of clay, and a few simple tools!
When you already create your own first ceramic piece you will learn the secrets of glazing and decorating which will boost your creativy much more !
At the workshop you will learn the basic techniques of making ceramics. Forming by ball of clay, coil building and slab building.
Techniques that offer a huge range of possibilities for creating ceramics. They are also among the oldest techniques for creating vessels around the world.
- TIME OF WORKSHOP: 4 hours (2 meetings - 2h)
- FIRST MEETING: Basics of clay - you create vessels in a technique of your choice. After meeting we have two weeks for break to dry and fire your ceramic works. Than we met at the second meeting.
- SECOND MEETING: Glazing with the chosen method. After second meeting is time for high fire your glazed works and than you have 30 days to pickup your ceramic. Shipping is possible but the cost is on the side of the student.
